Saint Luke is a community of faith which lives in grace and walks in faith.
Saint Luke is a community of faith which lives in grace by giving thanks to God each Sunday and walks in faith by sharing the Good News of Jesus each day. We support various ministries in the Glen Ellyn area (including Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry and People's Resource Center) and volunteer at other ministries in the Chicago area (including DuPage County PADS and Bethel New Life). Most of all, we have fun following the Spirit's call to share the love of God given to us in Jesus! Join us for a simple informal service on Saturday evenings at 5pm in our Fellowship Hall, or a traditional formal service on Sunday mornings at 9:30am in our sanctuary.

On Sunday Pastor Charles reminded us that the paschal candle is the light of Christ shining amidst the darkness of the tomb, proclaiming: Jesus is Risen! He is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
Today we welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem with shouts of “Hosanna in the Highest!” and saw him journey to the cross with shouts of “Crucify him! Crucify him!”
Pastor Charles spoke today about how God fertilizes and waters us to grow and produce fruit for the Kingdom of God (like this flower!)!

Today Pastor Charles spoke about the power of God’s Word to transform our lives, reminding us that God is present in our pain and suffering as well as our joy and happiness!
Pastor Charles preached Sunday on the abundance of God's grace, the God who exists to love us!
Yesterday we engaged the question "Does life have a purpose?" by pondering the gift of our baptism, in relation to Jesus own baptism, and the new life God gave us to love and serve our neighbor. Next week we ask: "Is there a God?"
What is up with the new writing above the door? One Epiphany tradition is to mark the entryway of your house with the first two digits of the year, the letters CMB, and then the last two letters of he year. CMB stands for Caspar, Malchior, and Balthazar, the traditional names of the three wise men who visit the baby Jesus on Epiphany. But it also stands for the Latin Christus Mansionem Benedicat translated "Christ bless this house". So when we mark the e entryway our house or Saint Luke, we are asking Christ to bless this house this year!
O come, O come, Emmanuel! Join us in worship on this First Sunday of Advent, 9:30am, at Saint Luke!
Pastor Charles had fun destroying this in worship today, to remind us to put our faith it was is eternal, not temporary, particularly God's eternal love given to us in Jesus!
